Project Lead Hardware

We are looking for a Project Lead Engineer to join cutting-edge projects in the high-tech industry. You will lead complex, multidisciplinary projects involving advanced systems and products. You will operate at the interface between engineering disciplines, ensuring structured execution, high-quality delivery, and alignment with demanding performance and timeline requirements.

 

As a Project Lead / Project Manager, you are responsible for the end-to-end delivery of technically complex projects within a precision engineering environment.

You will manage cross-functional teams (hardware and software), drive structured project execution, and ensure alignment with system requirements, stakeholders, and business objectives.

 

 

The role

 

  • Lead complex system-level projects from concept to delivery in a high-tech environment.
  • Define project scope, requirements, roadmap, and milestones in alignment with stakeholders.
  • Build project planning with its critical path, and adjust it till project completion.   
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (electronics, mechanical, optical, software).
  • Ensure structured execution following defined processes and governance models.
  • Monitor and manage Quality, Cost, and Time (QCT) performance.
  • Detect issues and solve them in a timely manner.
  • Identify risks and dependencies early and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage stakeholders across multiple levels (engineering, program management, suppliers).
  • Drive decision-making based on data, priorities, and technical constraints.
  • Ensure alignment with system architecture, requirements, and integration plans.
  • Provide accurate reporting on progress, risks, and performance.

Your Profile

 

  • MSc or BSc in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics or similar)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management or technical leadership
  • Proven experience in a complex high-tech environment (e.g. semiconductor, precision equipment, advanced manufacturing)
  • Strong background in hardware engineering (electronics, mechanics, electrical systems)
  • Exposure to software development environments or system integration is a plus
  • Strong planning, risk management, and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Structured, analytical mindset with a strong sense of ownership
  • Excellent communication skills in English
