Eric Haesen has been appointed Regional Director of ALTEN Benelux with effect from January 1st 2020. ALTEN’s strong growth in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, as well as ambitious growth targets for the future, have led to the decision to switch to a Benelux organization.

Fifteen years ago Eric Haesen, together with Arjen van Herwaarden, opened ALTEN’s first office in the Netherlands on behalf of the Group. His career started in the early 90’s in technical software development. After that he fulfilled various commercial and management roles.

Eric Haesen: “I am very much looking forward to this new role. I started the adventure in the Netherlands 15 years ago and in the meantime ALTEN Netherlands has grown from a startup to a mature organization. This new role offers me great new opportunities both personally and on an international level. With my long experience in consultancy, in which I myself have worked as a software engineer, but also in the field of management, gaining the trust of our employees and customers is my main objective. I foresee a bright future for the Benelux organization with a complete package of services in the field of Life Science, IT and Engineering. These business lines have a lot of synergy with each other, such as Internet or Things. By combining forces from the various countries, we gain maximum benefit from each other. This offers all our employees great career opportunities. For example, Belgium has a strong position in Life Science, while the Netherlands has a mature project delivery organization” .
