ISTQB Foundation Level Certified Tester

ISTQB is the worldwide leader in the certification of competencies in software testing. In order to promote its activities, ISTQB collaborates with businesses in more than 100 countries. The ALTEN Group was ISTQB’s first Global partner, the highest possible form of cooperation.

ISTQB provides three levels of training. Particularly the Advanced and Expert levels are useful for test professionals, whilst the Foundation level is a perfect basis for both test and software engineers, for requirement engineers and for anyone involved in managing software projects.

The ISTQB Foundation training covers the following topics over the course of three days:

• Introduction: What is ISTQB?
• Fundamental testing principles
• Testing throughout the entire software life cycle
• Static techniques
• Test design techniques
• Test management
• Proper use of tools

Practical examples are provided and exam questions are discussed during the training. The participants are expected to study on their own during the evening. On day 3 participants sit a mock exam, followed by the actual exam after the lunch break.

Upon passing the exam, participants are awarded an internationally recognised certificate and admission to the higher levels of ISTQB.

Duration, number of participants and training location

The training comprises three days (including the exam). The maximum number of participants depends on where the training is provided, which can be on site at the client’s address or in one of our own training centres.

ALTEN provides the standard ISTQB Foundation certification training, but uses customised content throughout the process and for the focus during the training, ensuring the best possible match with the target group.

Open registration
The ISTQB Foundation level Certified Tester training comprises 3 days and is provided on a regular basis. Participants can register for the training which will be held on the following dates:
