ISTQB (Advanced) Test Automation Engineer

The ISTQB (Advanced) Test Automation Engineer training is for people with extensive experience in testing in general and with an interest in test automation. A Test Automation Engineer is not only able to design, develop and maintain an automated test solution, but also has sufficient knowledge and experience to help organisations and projects to determine the right direction. This training, therefore, pays attention to both theory and practice. The architecture of the test automation solution is discussed, as well as the practice of implementing and converting manual tests.

Passing the exam results in the internationally recognised certification Certified Tester Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer (CTAL-TAE).

During the training, practical examples will be used, and there will be regular practice with assignments of the same level as the final exam. The participants are expected to do self-study.

Knowledge

To gain this certification, candidates must hold the Certified Tester Foundation Level certificate and have at least two years of experience in an automated testing role.

Duration and number of participants 

The training takes four days, including the exam on the final day, and can be provided in either Dutch or English. The exam will be taken in English. The maximum number of participants per session is 8 to 10 participants.
