On July 8th the ALTEN Fullstack Innovation Group organizes an evening for knowledge sharing about microservices and event sourcing. Everyone can join since this is an online event, starting at 19:00h.
Martijn van Egdom will take you on a tour talking about how web development has evolved from creating small pages with CGI-scripts to building global spanning applications. One of the big trends in modern web development are microservice architectures. But how does a microservice architecture compare to a monolithic architecture?
After that, Bob van Donselaar will take you through a drive on how you take your microservice architecture to the next level with event sourcing and how he used it to build a system that instead of updating records in a database only appends events that have happened. Which not only generate valuable data, but also the possibility to time travel through your systems historical state.
Does this sound exciting to you? Then join us to learn more about the advantages and disadvantages of microservice and how you can use event sourcing in your own projects.
