As a Splunk Engineer at ALTEN, you use your knowledge to work on an innovative, unattended monitoring system that is deployed around the world. You know how to develop robust monitoring solutions that can support a 24/7 global support team in the high tech industry.
You will work in a team cooperating with multiple teams in a SAFE agile train to develop and improve on the products. You are the specialist in the field of operational monitoring.
You are a Splunk Software Engineer and because of your experience you can carry out software development independently. In addition, you know how to maintain the balance between quality and implementation time, and you are happy to take on an analyst role when it comes to verifying functional and technical requirements.
Besides programming, you have an interest in the related aspects. For example, you can think of automatic testing and the use of tooling such as CI/CD, GIT or the Atlassian stack.
The project you will start with develops a 24/7 unattended Splunk platform that is used to monitor factories around the world. You will be challenged to develop software that can run continuously without error after it is deployed in a fully automated system.
Other than that, you have:
- Obtained a technical degree at HBO or WO level;
- At least 3 years of experience with programming in Splunk;
- Experience with linux servers;
- Good command of the English language, both oral as written. Dutch is a pre;
- Having experience with programming in Splunk ITSI, Python or Ansible is a pre.
What can you expect from us?
ALTEN offers a technically challenging environment where you can make a difference through the diversity of projects. In addition, we believe that as an engineer you never stop learning, which is why we offer you the opportunity to further develop yourself both personally and professionally. Within our ALTEN Academy we offer trainings that match your ambitions.
As an Engineer, you can take on a prominent role in the team. This can be done, for example, by actively participating in sharing knowledge, supervising and coaching students or Junior Engineers, or by increasing opportunities for ALTEN.
If, after the interviews, it turns out that you and ALTEN are a good match, we will immediately offer you a permanent contract. As we expect our consultants to be mobile, we offer you the choice between a lease car or a mobility allowance. In addition, we offer a good salary and a standard net expense allowance. We think it's important that you also have time to relax, that's why we give you 27 days off. Not enough? Then you can buy 10 more. You don't have to worry about your pension; we arrange that for you with a non-contributory pension scheme.
In order to shape your ambitions, you will be linked to both a Business Manager and a People Manager Manager. Together you determine the course of your career.
