Everybody is talking about ‘the Cloud’. But what does ‘Cloud’ actually mean? In this introduction to Cloud Bas will guide you through the terminology advantages and disadvantages of Cloud in your situation.

Bas Pruijn is Architect at ALTEN. He started in the Business Intelligence field in 1998. Since then, Bas fulfilled many roles, from report designer to project lead, from ETL-specialist to business analyst. Bas mainly focusses on advising clients about the optimal architecture, and the technical and organisational implementation of this architecture. Due to his strong analytical capacities, Bas can get to the core of complex issues very fast. Besides this, Bas is actively engaged in knowledge transfer to both his ALTEN colleagues as well as employees of his clients. Bas published several articles and was speaker at conventions.

Now Bas mainly focusses on Cloud, Big Data, Analytics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), NoSQL and Hadoop in his role as Delivery Manager for the Cloud Expertise Center.
